25 years of commitment to the city.
25 years of Berlin Partner – review and outlook at the same time. This was the motto of this year’s anniversary event of Partners for Berlin, a public private partnership for the Berlin city marketing, which was celebrated on the historic Siemensstadt site. Originally a city of construction sites, within 25 years the partner network transformed Berlin’s reputation and image in people’s minds into a city of new beginnings, opportunities and freedom.
What began with 21 founding members is today a public-private partnership of more than 280 strong members, who jointly dedicated their know how and commitment to the city and its location as a European metropolis. And with success: Today, Berlin is considered one of the most popular and attractive science and business locations and a melting pot for the start-up scene and creative minds.
From A to Z – from the beginning to the future.
As specialists in experience marketing, we were asked, as the central planning and implementation partner, to create the entire planning for the anniversary event, to put the public space in scene and to equip it in all event-related matters.
A particular challenge for us was to integrate the partner exhibition “From A to Z – from the beginning to the future”, which had previously been initiated by the organizer, into the mission statement and the experience space of the event. In the run-up to the event, partner companies had submitted unique ideas and projects for “their” letter, which were intended to illustrate and make it possible to experience the energy, diversity and solutions that the network can offer for the future.
In order to already in the planning phase realistically depict the overall image of the event – the “look and feel” – we produced precise 3D models of the most important event areas for the project partners and organizers. These included the buildings of the area, the stage, catering and tent structures, furniture and decorative elements, the Big Photo Booth, as well as the exclusively exhibited “A to Z Projects” of Berlin Partners.
As it turned out, this was an indispensable basis for our responsibility to centrally plan the details and coordinate with all project partners in the run-up to the event, as well as during the event and among other things to control the set-up and dismantling logistics, the coordination of technical and catering companies, as well as the connected trades through our P.O.S. team on site.
Berlin has what every brand wants – character and team spirit from A to Z.
Then as now, the successful interaction of all partners made one thing clear:
Berlin – a city like no other, Berlin Partner – a network like no other.
In record time, an event concept was created for the Siemensstadt site with its 6,870 square meters – from A for Artificial Intelligence to Z for Future Mobility – as unique as Berlin, its network partners and sponsors. In typical Berlin manner, driven by creativity, inventiveness and improvisation, an unforgettable and colorful experience was formed and shaped.
One thing became clear: Berlin will remain different. And continues to develop even after 25 years Partners for Berlin.
We are excited about the next 25 years and proud that we, as a Berlin agency, were able to contribute to the great success of the event, in our function as central planners and as “Head of Operation”.
